The practice of caring for honey bees has been going on for centuries ever since man discovered the taste of their honey. Ever since, we have been tending to and caring for those little creatures just to harvest the honey for ourselves as well as for its use in other applications. The society of honeybees can be very large depending upon the size of the hive. The colony management and its constituents is a very organized system. There is the queen bee, drones and the worker bees. There is only one queen bee; she is very busy every day making babies. The drones place in the system is very simple, he is the one that the queen bee mates with. Then the ones at the bottom of the chain, are the worker bees. The worker bees do everything else. This list of responsibility ranges from caring for the queen bee, tending to the unborn bees, gathering nectar and bringing it back to the hive, and even cleaning the hive and the bees that live within it.
